HUMAN POPULATION HISTORY
Highlighting a few of our current projects.
GENETIC HISTORY OF THE GREAT PLAINS
This NSF-funded project, in collaboration with tribal communities, seeks to collect some of the first ancient genomes from the Central and Southern Plains region of the US. Two major objectives are being addressed with these data: (1) Testing models for the initial peopling of the Americas, while (2) investigating the relationship between mortuary treatment, kinship, and mobility at multiple sites across the region. Our team is leading the analysis of paleogenomic data.
